Despite the fact that it’s named for a different track, a Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition is at home at Monza.

Every single detail of the Lexus LFA is fascinating, but more than anything else, it’s a car defined by its engine. Its 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V10 revs seemingly without friction and sounds like an F1 car, back when F1 cars made noise. The car has been with us since 2012 (though allegedly a new one is coming soon-ish), so you probably already know its sound, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying this video.

Here we have an especially orange Nürburgring Edition LFA tearing around Italy’s legendary Monza circuit, with some onboard footage and excellent fly-by shots. The 50 Nürburgring Edition LFA’s built received an additional 10 horsepower over the standard car’s 560, along with more aggressive suspension and aero packages.

LFA’s were expensive new, and prices haven’t fallen significantly since. It’s arguably worth it for the noise alone, though. It’s unlike anything else.
